Something old...something new....

Something borrowed, something BLUE =0

And accordingly in that order: Old-most everything on my bike, New: My cute new race outfit from Splish!, Borrowed: My Wheels (THANK YOU!), Blue-um, my bike.

I tried out the disc today....it goes "woosh woosh".....very excited about that....

My race outfit...I thought the devil was fitting since we're racing near the ASU Sundevil stadium...plus, I don't have a "motif" some people do turtles, hearts, whatever, I don't collect random items or kitschy things, but the devil was really cute. Plus, Dave sometimes describes me as a little terror....me?? Oh, and I know most people during and post-college know me as "Mer," but I grew up being called "Meri," and I was afraid to put "Mer" on my shirt in fear that people would shout "Go Merrrrr," like a cow "Muuuuuur", so I went with Meri instead. Plus, it's what my parents will be shouting at their computer screen.

The back of my top..and the real reason I get tops made, to give other athlete's a heads up that I don't start the bike with my hearing aid on (I keep it in my Bento Box)......one reason I don't think Bento Boxes are dorky, it allows me a place to keep my hearing aid so when I dry off, I put it on.......luckily for me, I haven't dropped my hearing aid while riding.....yet......

SO!! I am pretty much packed and ready to hit Phoenix tomorrow, me and the dogs, six hours and my bike will be INSIDE the car.....

Stay tuned!!!!!

Hi guys!!! Thank you all so much for your wishes!! I feel ready and speedy! I just got to Scottsdale.....

Amanda--laughing about MUR, Dave also will call me that to get me to smirk at him =0

So..the "really awesome" part above "Deaf Triathlete"...Ira from Splish added that, I had no idea and then I saw it and I was like "oh no, the last thing I want is someone to think that I think i'm "really awesome," but Dave thought it was cute and made for a cute story...so I allowed it to stay =0....

More soon!! Thank you so much for your wishes!!!
