We had a great weekend, date night with "Due Date" was pretty funny. It had some "The Hangover" moments, but not nearly as funny. We're sort of on the fence as to whether it was a "renter," in the end, but we're glad we went and saw it because we walked to the theater, it was a gorgeous night here in Boston and we checked out some new areas of our 'hood!
I hit up the spin class at my gym Saturday morning and unfortunately left pretty irritated. I like variety in spin classes, speed intervals/hills/standing climbs, whatever you want to call it. VARIETY. The class I went to was one long hill, which I guess for part of the class would be fine, but it was frustrating, the instructor never really signified any breaks for us so it was hard to know how to gauge when to push hard and when to let up. His legs were flying at like 90rpm nearly the entire time except when we had to "turn the nob two BIG turns" (FYI: I think two full turns on the specific bike I was on would've left me cycling in squares and/or standing without even moving the pedals. So, I rebelled a litlte and sat when people were standing and did my own thing. I'm sure the instructor didn't even notice, but if he did, whatever, i'm not going to climb for 55 minutes without any type of rest at 90 rpm?? Maybe I can't do it physically, but mentally...please, i'd rather sit at home and ride on the trainer...speaking of which, guess where my Kestrel is? STILL IN A BOX. MUST. BUILD. It's been hard to justify pulling it out of the box as riding outdoors for me isn't really realistic time-wise. My friend Shannon moved here so we'll be able to ride together, but it pains me to unpack the box when it'll just sit on a trainer. Welcome to New England in the winter???
Anyway, no swimming this weekend...just the spin class and on Sunday everything ached from my runs/spins this week....oh yeah and because I actually did a few situps (like 10) my stomach hurt even on a "deep breath" inward. WEAK.
I'm hoping the lifting of weights i'm doing is a good substitute until I can find my way back to the pool.
Until then, Soren and I have a pool playdate, but get this: ALL women at this pool MUST wear a swimcap. Seriously. So my question is: Do I wear my two piece bathing suit with my swim cap, which would be more comfortable, OR do I wear my Trakkers bathing suit which a certain someone talked me into purchasing a "racing size" in which leaves me hovered and bended like a peanut unless actually "swimming." A two piece with a bathing cap........i'll try to get pictures.

Hmmm, that is a very weird swim pool rule. I think you should do the two piece plus one of those flowery grandma-type swimming caps that have the chin strap.
That is a sexist rule, eh? I mean in the swimming pool....what if the guys have longer hair? :) ANYWAY....I always feel better in a 1 piece suit w/ the kids, but that is just me....I LOVE YOUR new blog look, clean and classic!! I needed to come over and catch up on you and Soren +! :) Glad all is good...hope you are doing ok out East. :)
Come on with the pictures! Saw Jes the other night, and she said she had lunch with you in Boston. Hope all is well!
That's pretty cool...

if the water is hot...hmm...maybe the 2 piece, why not?
So glad your blog is back. I think I know why they want women to wear swim caps. .....Hair in the drain. Ew, Ew, Ew .
